Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

This place has incredible potential... But, the manager was very rude and defensive. More than one unhappy customer today. We were very patient, it took over an hour to get some of our food, not all, because we never received our appetizer. Hopefully a one time deal, but we won't be back.

Good food, reasonable prices, and great specials on drinks. Also being out the water, it's really beautiful scenery.

One word: Horrible! I went the 1st time and had to leave because they said that food orders were taking 45 minutes, it was the 1st warm day of the year so I guess everyone wanted to be in the patio so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. The inside didn't look busy though. Well, I returned a 2nd time. I sat at the patio, had these freaking choo choo train smokers blowing smoke like nobody's business. The the clueless waitress arrives takes our appetizer and beer orders, the beers arrived in like 10 minutes, the appetizers like in 20 minutes. 12 fried winglets by the way. Almost 50 -55 minutes later comes the most god awful burgers. I asked for medium rare, the damn burger looked like a hockey pock. Dry as Hell! My husband tells the waitress while she passes by and the only thing she has to say is: "Sorry about that" and keeps moving. No how can I fix it? Nothing! I ate about 1/2 and couldn't do it anymore. My husband the same. But the burger didn't sit well on my husband he was sick for 4 days with the runs and high temperature that started the same night. He thinks he had food poisoning. The manager or some guy that was there came to ask how was everything, and I gave him the most disgusted look, my husband explained and he tried to offer a way to repair or to give us some draft beer. But at that point I was already done! This place only survives cause of the patio, and some of the light bulbs were even out. We arrived there when the sun was real bright, by the time we left it was dark. As long as I live I will tell EVERYONE I know to stay away from this place. This was the most suckiest experience I've every had, I pretty sure that waitress found out about it cause that $2 tip was a lot, I wish I would have had coins to give her. Horrible!

I really want to like this place. This is our second visit. Things have gotten better. First, they seat you as you come in so you don't have to guess what to do anymore. The wait wasn't long despite it being a busy night. Everyone's drink came out, but the waitress forgot mine. I had a manager help me get a drink. Next, an order of nachos came out. We didn't order them. My wife ordered the turkey wrap, the boys ordered the chicken and I ordered the Kobe burger medium rare. Everyone's order was perfect except for mine. The burger was cooked well done. Normally, I would just eat it and keep my mouth shut. However, since I paid the extra $2 for the Kobe (an $11.99 burger) I wanted it to be perfect. After waiting a bit to have a new burger it came out and was really great. The boys chicken was real chicken, not the processed strips. We had a coupon for a free kids meal, so with a family of 5 the total was under $30. We were pretty happy overall despite the mix ups. We'll be back, and hopefully it will get even better.

Ok, the view and atmosphere rock at this place...and unfortunately that is where it ends. We came on Sunday afternoon and it was steady but not in the weeds. We ordered drinks and got them pretty quick, and our server was ok. We ordered food and then proceeded to wait 30 min for it to come out and when it came out it was just ok. I got the towers burger...and I have had better many other places, but it was ok. My wife got the chicken fried chicken and it was bland...a little salt and pepper and it was much improved. However don't order mashed potatoes bc they are most likely out. The kiddo got a corn dog and it's hard to mess those up so the kid loved it of course. We wanted to sit on the patio but not shaded areas at all so unless you want to burn, then you better sit inside. I bet at night it's pretty great tho! Dissapointed overall, but hey maybe it was a bad day. We will try them again and hope for the best. Worst case, we can just drink!

I read a lot of negative reviews of Towers Tap House and have to say I disagree. We went in for dinner and a beer and enjoyed ourselves. The view is interesting and a lot of places in the area don't have a view at all. I enjoy sitting outside, so this is a huge plus. The interior of the restaurant / bar is warehouse-like, and you sit at picnic tables. Nothing fancy, plus I like the atmosphere. Food (burger) was good. A great place to relax, catch a bite to eat and enjoy the low key environment.

Been here twice. My wife and I are about to go for our third time tonight to celebrate my bday with a few drinks and food. I've only ordered the burger and fries. And both are great. Especially the fries. Hard to beat those. I don't understand people complaining about have to order without a waitstaff. Get off your lazy butt and go to the counter. That's what separates this place from the others. Along with the patio.

A no pressure, 'serve yourself', kinda place! Order what you want, when you want at any of the bars... theres no table service but you can choose to sit at the bar for full service. :) So much fun for everyone and I love the concept!

Towers Tap House is new, I live close and wanted to walk down and have a beer and check it out. 95 degrees and humid, I wanted a cold beer and a water. I had high hopes and was really hoping to love it. The outside of the building is beautiful. Being next to Hydros is really great and makes walking in feel like your going on a little vacation. Once you walk in you will be disappointed. To really sum it up, it feels like they stopped construction half way through the process. You can clearly see the potential to attract customers but getting them to come back here can be a real problem. This would be a perfect place for the TV show "Bar Rescue". Perfect. Even I could make some incredibly helpful suggestions on layout and... well everything. First you walk in and there is a tiny little area to the right that they referred to as a bar. Two young kids, both seemed unsure of how to welcome and direct me. The first thing one said is "are you meeting someone here?" No I am not,... blank uncomfortable stare.... I would just like a beer and a cup of water. Then she said I could order there or at the bar in the back. I said I'd go to the bar and order there. I went to the bar which was not crowded at that time. I waited, and waited, made eye-contact with the bar tender as he walked away from me, and continued to wait a little longer. Eventual I went back to the front and asked if I could just get my beer and water there. They got both for me, I paid them and went to find a seat. The seating layout is the strangest thing ever. You have a wide open space and the put these huge ugly wooded wall/dividers smack in the middle of the floor with ugly tiny tables built in. No theme, nothing reads Texas. No character to the interior. There are 2 features about this structure that are amazing: The VERY TALL BEAUTIFUL ceiling, and the bar in the back that is open to the outside so you can sit inside or out and enjoy the air or watch the people doing cool things at Hydros. It's like these two awesome features were hidden. The seating in the middle draws your eyes away from the ceiling. The wood walls around the tables block the view of the bar in the back. Along the sides are wooden benches, like park benches, with nothing on them. No menus, no salt, no pepper, no spices, no napkins.. nothing. I sat there and drank my beer and my water slowly just trying to beat the heat, watching the people wake boarding next door. I was there for about 20-30 minutes. During that time not one person asked me if I needed another beer or more water or if I wanted to order food. Not one. They had plenty of staff, all the girls in their denim shorts and red shirts chatting away among each other. There were tables of 2 or 3 people and they were helped. But I was skipped over. Unfortunate. Even when I my cups were empty (and the only objects on the table) no one asked me if I needed anything. Really, no one. I left disappointed to say the least. Good customer service can make up for so many other faults. Every new business in Little Elm has so much potential to be a gold mine. Little Elm is expanding exponentially and is in dire need of new businesses. The location of this place is PERFECT; it truly could not be better. With right management and some fairly inexpensive changes to the interior layout this place would undoubtedly make money from old rope! It's a gold mine, but instead of using a pick ax to get the gold they are using a q-tip. Best analogy I can think of. I guess one good thing is that if I ever do want a beer the lines will never be long... if you're lucky enough to get service. I wish I could buy it... pipe dream for me.

Giving it two stars for venue reasons. Love to support mom and pop local businesses and so we had really high hopes coming in to try it out. Little Elm is ripe for great new businesses particularly restaurants and so this had so much opportunity for success. Chopped salad was just alright (not chopped or remarkable) and hubby's burger was a little patty that he said tasted previously frozen. Did enjoy the sweet potato fries and jalapeño dressing was decent. On a positive note, beer was cold. The food tasted like it was made by someone else somewhere else - possibly Sysco. We'll return to wakeboard but we'll pick up dinner first. Maybe they're just getting started and will improve when the new restaurant opens next door.

We decided to give them a chance even though it had bad reviews. We went twice just make sure. The first time was during lunch and our food was wonderful so we decided to take the kids for dinner a couple days later and the food was still awesome. This place is definitely our new place to eat.

The musician playing on a Saturday night was the reason my husband and I went to Towers Tap House. The road construction on El Dorado is a bit of a pain for getting into the parking lot and not enough pavement parking so ended up in the dirt lot. Based on the rating of the food given on Yelp, we ate before arriving, so we just had bottled beer. At $3 for domestic not bad but the service at the bar (the one near the patio) was so, so slow. They only have one cash register so the bartenders stand in line to ring up your order. The bands are set up so your back is to the lake and this takes your visual away from about the only thing maybe somewhat positive about this place. As a previous reviewer wrote, the seating is limited to a few cheap patio furniture chairs and picnic tables and the ground is gravel. I was not prepared to be outside to listen to the musician so even a few days after my visit I am still itching like crazy from the several mosquito bites I got. Sure hope I don't get West Nile because I want to forget this visit ever happened. Two other reasons I have no desire to return is too many kids running around to properly enjoy the music and way too much cigarette smoking happening on the patio. I did not realize that many people still smoke and no regard that their children are sitting at the same table.

It's pretty obvious they ran out of money. Don't come expecting a restaurant, more like an overflow party place for wakeboarders. They only have burgers and sandwiches, which DON'T come with fries (you have to pay extra for those). I got the mushroom swiss burger that I could have made better at home. You don't get a waiter/waitress, you order at the front (better grab a menu because you can't read their tv's that have the menu on them) and sit down. I've never seen this at a so-called "tap house". If you want another drink, you have to wait at the bar or wait in the order line. That's awful. The bar is small and they only have 4 tiny TV's. The patio is sloppy and feels more like a viewing/party area for the wakeboard park than a part of the restaurant. Definitely won't be going back, and if that wakeboard park ever goes out of business they're going to be in serious trouble.

Could have been something great... Instead it is nothing special and for the price of the good you can get a way better meal just about anywhere else in town.

Great atmosphere, great patio, live music was a lot fun. The night I went the school of rock in McKinney performed. I felt like I was on the coast! Relaxing feel. Awesome selection of beer local and imported. I'm excited to go back and try more beer and try the food. Prices were extremely reasonable. Glad Little Elm has a place like this.

Deserves no stars. This was a bad experience from beginning to end. You walk in to order and pay for your food and drinks at a counter. You leave the counter without your beverages. We waited quite a while for our drinks to be delivered. Then it took an hour to get our food out to us and all we ordered was one order of cheese fries and one order of regular fries. Fries were fine but definitely not worth an hour wait. If you want another beverage during your long wait, you go back to the counter to order and pay, only to sit once again and wait for its delivery. Very disappointing experience.

The location is great. I have now been here three times. The food is horrible though. Their burgers are frozen patties and not that tasty. It seems like there is no management, or the management severely lacks experience. The beer selection is pretty decent but you have to stand in line to get it.

Before coming here I read the reviews. Wasn't sure if I should even waste my time going since there were so many unhappy reviews; however, I thought I would give them a chance. My date and I came out here for an early dinner. We both got beers (awesome they had many local brews), the Avocado Jack burger, and he got an appetizer. It was similar to Fuddrucker's where you order and then sit down. You have the option of staying inside or going outside to watch wake-boarding off Lake Louisville while enjoying dinner. The burgers were okay-would have been better if I could have ordered my burger cooked the way I wanted. Sides are extra which kind of sucked. Overall the food was okay, and we sat outside by the bar. Bartenders were friendly and made my drink perfectly.

Decided to give this place a try. Prices seemed decent until drinks were ordered. Orders appetizers that were delivered with the meal. No attempts were made to rectify the situation. Ordered the fried green beans. They were surprisingly fresh but had to peel off what was too much breading to taste and find that out. One of our burgers was cold. Disappointed and will not be a return customer.

My wife and I have become frequent visitors of Towers over the last few months. The beer selection is pretty good, and the food is awesome! We've had several burgers, chicken fried steak (my favorite), the cheesesteak and chili cheese dog. All of which have been awesome. The only issue we've come across is that they were very short-handed last night, but everyone was helping out. They had a packed house and the bartenders, manager, bar-back and the lone waitress were doing a heck of a job making sure everyone had drinks and food was served as quickly as possible. Overall a good time to be at Towers on Saturday!

Nice place to sit outside and have a beer. Food is not a reason to go there. Nice bar and staff.

Great atmosphere, clean, friendly service food and drinks were great! The inside of the restaurant has good vibe/decor, while the outside bar, seating area, live music, bean bag toss overlooking the wake board park gives it an awesome home town lake feel. I'll definitely be back great wings, loaded fries and taco Tuesdays!

Could be a great place. The atmosphere was great and fun to watch the wake boarders at Hydrous. The service was horrible. I am a mother and when I go out eat I don't want to keep walking up to the bar to order drinks or get refills for the kids. We ordered onion rings for an appetizer they brought out fried Jalapeno stings. They apologized and said keep those and they would bring onion rings right away. Never saw the onion rings. About 10 minutes later are food came out and they forgot my burger. They apologized again and said they would bring it right out. My family was finished eating and went to walk around outside while I sat inside by myself still waiting for my burger. My burger finally showed up it wasn't bad and it wasn't great either. No one came by to ask how the food was or if we needed anything. Just to let you know they didn't charge me for my burger.

Horrible service. Horrible service. Horrible service. It will kill this place. Food is decent, scenery is great. Management needs to manage though, seems the staff does what they please and it is not serve customers. The blonde bartender Kristen was especially unattentive. Not only did fellow bartenders have to literally yell at her to help customers, she never once apologized for making people wait. Too busy flirting withy the same guys for at least a half hour. Then refused to make drinks in which another bartender had to make all because she ran off because she wanted chocolate. Real professional. I don't like standing at a bar for 20 min waiting for a bartender to notice me, and I shouldn't have to yell across the bar to get their attention. It would be one thing if it were slammed and crazy packed but it wasn't. Just poor customer service. They should be paying attention. Wake up management guess how you make money......customers. Don't take care of us, we will go somewhere else. Your Friday band is also awful, if I wanted to listen to every song pink sang, I'd download them. Quit hiring these people or hold them accountable. If you can't do that, you have no business being in any sort of leadership role. The bar is not set up smart, how do you not have taps at the actual bar? They are at the front desk....so a customer has to wait longer for the bartender to walk back an forth. Stupid in my opinion especially when most people will be outside during spring and summer. There should be 2, or at the bar. Whoever designed this was an idiot and did not design according to functionality. This place just has strike after strike. I don't plan to frequent this place ever. Hula hut is opening and their austin location is fantastic, I'm sure they will hit it out of the park with this location. Say bye bye to your customers.

  • Jane J.

We would give it 1/2 star but not available. Food is bad and too expensive. $7.00 for a bad dry hamburger, McDonalds $1.00 menu is better. Beer is good but how do you screw that up?

    (1)
  • James S.

A tap house is supposed to have taps. 4 taps does not make a tap house. Food sucked too. It's hot because the bar open to the outside and flies are all over your food even when you eat inside. It is Little Elm....... So I guess this is good news for them, cuz this is the most boring place in world.

  • Q W.

Non impressed! Walked in, walked out. Bar is small and staff walked by without ever speaking.

So much potential its sickening. Worked in restaurants and bars for years and this place needs some simple things to make it great. Cocktail waitresses outside and they would increase sales big time. Rearrange the tables inside to accommodate more seating and again table service is a must. Just don't get it. I will continue to go back for the great beer selection and a great prices. Food is average at best. Again just a little tweaking on the menu and they would have something here. Again as someone who understands the business the amount of money they are not making due to inefficiency is insane. Two girls working the patio and they would sell double the amount they sell now in alcohol. Potential is all I can say.

Dont see what all the fuss is about?? This place is one of a kind...where can you sip on a drink and munch on apps while watching people bust they ass at Hydros Water Park....I dont work for these guys, I dont know these people, but Id say they are moving in the right direction. You want great food and legendary service, dont go to a place where you can wakeboard 10 feet away....I go for the atmosphere and cheap drinks THEN i eat.....it all taste better with the RUM in your cup! LOL

We stopped by on a Friday night. We were greeted immediately by a very pleasant hostess. She first brought us outside but we ended up sitting inside by the window facing hydrous. We really enjoyed our experience. The staff was very friendly and service was excellent. The food come out in a timely manner. They had a few games outside which the kids loved! They also had a very nice patio, we can not wait until the weather is warmer. We ordered the spinich dip as an appetizer. It was good but the serving was small. They give you way more chips then dip. We also had the blue cheese burger and mushroom burger, very flavorful and the bread was good. The sweet potato and regular fries were tasteful as well, stay away from the chips, they were too salty. The kids had a corndog, you honestly can't mess that up. And the chicken tenders, it was a good size but lacked any flavor. The kids drenched it in ketchup. We will definitely be back. We really enjoyed the music and environment. The kids had a blast playing.

There has been a lot of changes since last year when we first visit this place. We came back because the weather is nice enough to sit outside and enjoy a drink. On Sundays they have $1 off Bloody Mary and $15 buckets. I came back here not expecting of any change. The counter service is gone, they now have wait staff to ease the pain of going back and fort to the stand to get more food or drinks. Our server was Michael, he was very attentive and did a really good job. I have yet to try the food again. If it's better from the last time I might add another star with this review but that would be for next time.

I came in with low expectations in the first place.....I came to have beers, apps, and a burger. One beer and wings down and I am paying my bill and leaving. Service, beer selection, and food quality is poor......but if you like drinking beer from a plastic cup, this may be your place.

  • Eddie N.

Checked out Towers Tap House, out side looks fun, walking inside they are in desperate need of some one with imagination to decorate the place. Staff is friendly, Bar was very average and plain, beer was warm, I had the cob salad, size was average, lacked personality. Chips and salsa, chips lacked salt and are too thick and salsa tasted like pizza sauce.

  • Randy R.

Great place since they revamped their menu. Fun atmosphere with lake views, live music, and outdoors seating

    (4)
  • Meaghan G.

The atmosphere could be cool if they had some mist and fans going outside. The inside was not very cool temperature wise though. The service was good. The food was okay, but mostly fried. In conjunction with the heat, the fried food made for a lethal combo. Its a shame too because watching the wake boarders is pretty entertaining.

    (2)
  • G B.

Probably the worst food and service in the nicest location. I give every place I try the benefit of the doubt if the 1st experience is bad. This place has failed three times for me. I cannot recommend this place for anything beyond people watching.

    (1)
  • Jason F.

I come here with my team after softball games. I wish we had a better choice because this place really isn't very good. It has a huge outdoor area for seating but hardly any chairs and no table service so you will be back and forth between inside outside all night. Not to mention the lines at the bar are ridiculously long and slow. They are very understaffed to the point where they stop taking food orders when they cannot keep up in the kitchen. The only reason they get 2 stars is the drinks are cheap.

    (2)
  • Jennifer H.

Dogs are allowed out back, that's cool. I like watching the people wake boarding next door. The server was nice. Our food was okay, but a bit pricey for what it is. Beer is overpriced, but a decent selection. The atmosphere and other customers are a nice addition.

We've never been here before and was excited to try it out. We ordered wings as an appetizer. It took 45 minutes for them to come out and they had the wrong sauce so we sent them back. We got our main course after being there for 53 minutes. Two tables that were sat after us received their food in a timely manner. I ordered a chopped salad that wasn't chopped at all. My husband ordered a burger that had two long hairs in the lettuce. We asked for a manager and the waiter said he was the service manager. He didn't argue and he was apologetic. We still never got the correct appetizer.

Food was ok, music was ok, service was ok.... But everything put together is actually pretty enjoyable. Go out back and enjoy some live music with a band that doesn't pretend to be great - - but knows how to have fun.

This was our second stop in at Towers Tap House, our first had been a bit rough with service/timeliness, but it was a beautiful day and their location was convenient, so we decided to try again. It was a Saturday at 1:00pm and they were fairly busy. The hostess greeted us, sat us, and took our drink order right away. And then we sat. And sat. And sat. For over 25 minutes. I finally stopped the manager as he was clearing a table and asked if someone might be able able to take our order- he was really put off by my request, and mumbled irritatedly that he was coming. So another five minutes and we were placing our orders, though he was clearly going to remain irritated with us. Food came out about 25 minutes later- if you are enjoying a leisurely afternoon this might work for you, but we had hungry teenage basketball players and they weren't interested in leisurely. Food was fine for bar good, and I think pricing is fair- fish tacos were large. Both times they did not come with the guacamole they are advertised to include, and both times when I asked for it the waiters looked really annoyed. My daughter also had food missing that it said was included. Sadly, after the guacamole was delivered they seemed to avoid our table, so she never got the Texas toast, we had empty drinks, and had two silverware sets to share between four of us. While we were waiting for our food I noticed a woman leaving and a bit of a shouting match occurred at the front door between her and the manager- her problems were the exact things we were experiencing, but to my surprise the manager wasn't apologetic at all, and actually argued back with no merit. I'm not a huge proponent of "the customer is always right", but she hadn't started out rudely, and as the manager he should have handled it better. His attitude and work habits will affect the whole staff and the success of his restaurant. Hope they can improve service and general attitude, or we won't be going back despite the great patio, bar, and location to us. Plenty of other options where we can be treated right.

  • Leah J.

I really hate to beat this place up... But it kinda sucks. What a great spot and great view, it has so much potential. We waited 45 mins after we ordered our food, 3 other tables were occupied, so they were not busy. We got watery nachos, a nasty ham sandwich, a nasty hamburger and a grilled cheese sandwich, with un-melted cheese and no we did not order it that way. Then we had to actually get up and go pay because our waitress disappeared.

  • Carlos G.

1st time here and experiencing some terrible service. At least 45 minutes and we still have not received our food. Excuses by staff, missing items, had to go refill my drink myself and the party with us received their food first when they ordered after us! Food is good.

    (1)
  • Lindsay P.

Currently at Tap House and extremely, extremely disappointed. We waited 20 mins for chips, salad, and queso. Now, 30 mins (almost an hour after we ordered) later we are still waiting for a burger and buffalo chicken sandwich. DO NOT COME HERE TO EAT. If you want to come hang out and drink....maybe. Otherwise avoid this place!!

I really want to love this place. The challenge is that the service isn't good. This is a place that has location in spades, but falls short in every other category. The beers on tap are unremarkable. The food is decent, but is overshadowed by poor service, a slow kitchen, and general mismanagement. I really hope they figure out before the public has other options like Hula Hut. If not, the best they'll be able to hope for is a business built on single visits only.

Beware of ants in food! I am not a picky eater, nor do I write reviews to complain, but this is a must read if considering Towers: We were seated outside, but nobody came to serve us. Waiters actually walked by as I attempted to get their attention. I decided to start my phone timer to see how long it would take just to get water or a drink. 15 minutes went by without service before we decided to get up and try inside. Once inside we were waited on, but after trial and error realized their frozen drink machine was broken and half the items on drink menu were not available. When my food was brought out I noticed some movement in it... My plate actually had ANTS crawling through the lettuce and into the quesadillas (No lie). Needless to say, my husband and I will never go back. I wanted this place to do well because of the location and patio atmosphere, but I just don't see that happening especially with Hula Hut about to open down the road and also on the lake.

I love this place. It has about the best ambience around, I love to sit and relax, play some music on the jukebox, drink beer, and watch the wake boarders next door. A very wide selection of local craft beers. Very kid friendly, there are games for kids to play. I haven't had a bad experience there yet, and my husband and I and our kids usually go a couple of times a week. :) Highly recommended!

I really enjoy the environment, layout, and the prices and drinks are good too. They're a tap house, but they've got really good mixed and frozen drinks as well. We had my girlfriend's birthday party there and set in the deck boat area. It was blast and the band was great! The 1/3rd lb burgers were better than fast food, but alas, still pub food and not like the ones I can grill.

I really hate to write a bad review for a place that is a non-chain, but this was a bad overall experience. First for the one positive and that is the idea. I like the idea of having it next to water and watching as the wakeboarders do their thing. I like the loud music playing outside and the outside seating. But that is where the buck stops. I REALLY dislike that you have to order when you first walk in. That doesn't even make sense to me. With all of the staff hanging around, I was shocked to see that the place was dirty. As I was filling up my water cup, there was some sort of cola drink all over the counter. Our queso was cold with bland chips. We sent it back to have it heated up, waited ten minutes to get it and then it came back cold, again. The queso itself was also bland and tasted like melted velveeta. Our burger wasn't thick, juicy and memorable. The fish tacos were fried fish, very little sauce and a few scraps of coleslaw. The first stall door in the ladies bathroom opened up backwards, so you literally walk into it when you walk into the bathroom. I went into this first stall and the lock didn't work well and there was a huge space that people could see through. Oh, and the best part....there was no toilet paper. I just don't get it. This place has the potential to be amazing but it fell WAY short.

My fiancé and I decided to try this place out for the first time today. First they brought out someone else's food then the salad I got was so watery it was hard to taste any of the flavors. My fiancé got the black and blue burger and it was just mostly blue cheese with a small portion of meat. The blue cheese was so overwhelming you couldn't taste anything else. They topped it off by overcharging us for both meals. We will definitely not be back, which is a shame since we live so close. When we got home we both felt sick to our stomachs. We really wanted to like it and it is a neat location with a great view with friendly staff but the food was just awful.

The first time we went 6 months ago the service was great and the food was alright. The outdoor scenery made it worth it. The last 3 times we've been, the service was incredibly slow even when it wasn't busy. They increased prices on the menu, and the quality of the food went down. The last time we went, we waited a half hour to just make a drink order and get menus. We order our kids food with our drink orders and waited another 30 minutes before our waitress came by to get our food orders and bring our drinks. At that point I asked to have the kids food to go and the check. After an hour and a half, I went home with cold kids meals and went to subway for my food. I hope they get better staffed. It will help.

The staff was friendly but I had to take an entire point away for me not able to order a beer tower. The reason for this is that it off a location that can literally hold well over 100 people the own three beer towers. Additionally if you want a tower you have to wait until one of the three becomes available, turned in, washed, and then hope you are next to have one, I never got one that night and that's a penalty. I'm not sure there was something going on in town that day but there were a lot of families there with underage children which for me was a tad bit awkward. The staff was friendly, the location was clean, the scenery in the back patio area is awesome with a wakeboard park in the rear. I just ate the chips and queso which was pretty good. The live music was cool though not my style but it was still fun. I will go back again however I may need to make a donation of a few beer towers.

My husband and I were in the area running around when we passed Towers and thought it looked like a cool spot. The signs tout "20 beers on tap" but when we asked for their drink menu they were out of about 5. Nonetheless, we were able to find a couple of our favorites. We sat outside and it has a really nice view, although the wakeboard park next door was closed due to flooding. Our server was really nice but slow. We weren't super hungry so we just ordered nachos. They were okay, but nothing special. This place has the potential to be awesome, but I'd recommend they step up their service and food quality, especially before Hula Hut and others open!

It was good food I have no issues here . It was a little slow the day I went and took a while to get service so that's why I am holding back on 5 stars but never the less good food and I was happy with the value .

The last two times I've been (both in last couple weeks) the service has been HORRIBLE. One of the times there was a wake boarding event and place was really packed. But even still, it was awful. Ordered food at bar and kept going back to check if ready, as this is how they told me to do it since I was sitting on lawn outside bc no tables avail. Went in about every 15 mins. Most times I stood at bar for at least 5 mins waiting to be acknowledged by bartender even though she saw me there. Kept telling me food wasn't ready. Ordered chicken nachos and kids chicken tenders w bbq sauce. After over an hour the last time I go check someone hands me nachos only no kids tenders. And the nachos were ice cold. I told them so. Oh well we couldn't find you. Well I'd been in at least 4-5 times. Either way you knew the food was cold, don't serve it. So they go to remake it. Wait at least another 10 mins only to have them bring me beef nachos. Can't eat it and tell them so they seem annoyed and remake. Finally it's ready and the kids tenders too but no bbq sauce. Then had to wait while they hunted down silverware for us. All the employee seemed frazzled including the manager. He is nice and friendly when it's not busy but when it gets busy and stressful, he doesn't do well. He gets an attitude and ignores customers. Second time I went they were slightly busy but still plenty of empty tables. Ordered chips and salsa and queso to start. Then kids Mac cheese w fries, club sandwich and quesadillas. After 30 mins asked about queso. Server says I put the order in but they're busy. Ok. So another 15-20 mins and our food comes out. No chips salsa queso. Kids Mac and cheese was Kraft and it was cold and had that film over it that happens when it sits out. Fries cold too. Send back and comes out and looks like they added milk and some cheese and reheated. Was better. Quesadillas were soggy on the side that was face down. Not sure if it was bc they sat too lob or what. Other than that they tasted fine. They bring the queso out about 5 mins into meal and say sorry and that it's free. Ok that's nice. Queso was cold. I love this place, great atmosphere and vibe, good beer and awesome for kiddos bc they can run and play but they really need to get it together on the service and food quality. The one guy bartender w brown hair who also wakeboards is always great though. Can't remember his name.

Food was good but not worth the price. 6 wings for $9 and they aren't really that big. Also beer served in a plastic cup for $4. That small of a beer for that price? The beer got warm quickly in the plastic cups even with that small amount.service was good but too pricy for the amount of food and drink you get.

I loved the atmosphere when we first walked in. We seated ourselves and our waitress took our order right of way. Our burgers were great and even looked awesome. Big pro: the drinks are priced right. We will definitely be coming back.

Drinks are fairly cheap but the service is horrible. We had 3 different servers till we found someone that would come back to give us additional drinks. The menu is very basic and the food isn't bad but is great either. Good atmosphere.

We stopped in for lunch after baseball on a Saturday afternoon and the location and atmosphere is awesome. Once the road construction is complete, I'm hopeful that this place, along with Hula Hut next door will have great success. That said, it took 45-50 min to get a hot ham and cheese and a turkey wrap. Our waitress was awesome and the drinks came quick, which leads me to believe that the kitchen is either understaffed or not very well managed. Once our food came out, it was great! Given it was an afternoon without the kids, I was in no hurry and didn't mind too much, but I hope they get it sorted out because it's an awesome spot!!!!

The food was horrible and over priced. The patio looked like somebody's poorly landscaped back yard. The best thing was the stylish bathrooms. We won't be back!! I would give it less than one star if possible.

My wife and I visited on a Sunday morning walked in was almost left because they had a sign that said kitchen wad closed, turned out they had forgotten to turn it around we Sat down right away and ordered cheese sticks with ranch dressing, and their signator burger one with cheese and one without,,good sofar

Don't expect great service and fantastic food. It's a bar and more then likely you will have to walk up to the bar order for yourself. I never walked in having high expectations but every time we go we have a good time. They have a great outdoor set up which we enjoy. We will continue to frequent this spot

Food no better than a youth league concession stand, warm beer served in disposable plastic cups, and no idea at all about what they are doing. This place reminds me of a poor college kid's beer bust party. I REALLY wanted to like this place and make it a regular stop. But we won't waste our time or money again. Perhaps the next owners will take advantage of the great location and put in an actual restaurant.

The cons out weigh the pros here, but there's still time to improve. Me and a few friends visited here on a Saturday mid afternoon. Pros: 1. The atmosphere is great for a sports bar/grill. 2. Great outdoor seating with a view of the water sports going on next door at Hydrous. 3. Fries were best part of the meal. Cons: 1. When you first walk in, there is no indication of what you're suppose to do. But you're suppose to put your order in at the bar and then you seat yourself. It would help if they had a sign up that explained what to do because we stood there for a good minute thinking a hostess would come seat us. 2. I saw they gave out numbers to some tables to indicate who ordered what, but we didn't get a number. The first set of food that came out wasn't ours and belonged to another table. 3. Our food took about 30 minutes to come out and all we ordered were burgers and fries. The place didn't seem that busy either. 4. My friends sweet potato fries came out extremely oily and when asked for a new batch, those fries took about 10 minutes to come out. 5. I observed other tables being brought the wrong food and they had waited just as long as us. All in all, the food was decent and what I expected from a sports bar/grill. They just need to get efficient in the kitchen and organize how they keep track of orders so people don't the wrong food when they finally do get it.

I wanted to like this place so much due to the location and seemingly perfect atmosphere. Like other reviews said, service was HORRIBLE!! We visited on Saturday and the place was not overly packed, so I thought the service would not be as bad as the other reviews. We walked in and there was a party of 5 standing at the entrance we stood behind them to wait to be seated after standing there for 10mins without being acknowledged I asked someone what the issue was since there were so many open tables, they ended up seating is within the next minute or 2. Once seated we still waited a long time to order, if you come to this place you better have a ton of time on your hands and a TON of patience! Ordered the en fuego burger, the party was super thin, there was more lettuce and bread than anything else. Wife ordered grilled chicken sandwich, and this one also had a super thin piece of chicken. Also order the "philly phries" as an appetizer, this was way better than the main food. Food was below average, with the service from hell. Will not revisit.

I finally ate here (as the first time, they "closed" the restaurant since they received too many orders.. reminds me of a Restaurant Impossible 'no no'). I ordered a burger and milk shake. Let's just say I wouldn't come here for the food. For the atmosphere, yes. If you want to get a drink and watch your kids play in the water or watch others, sure. Food, not so much. I wouldn't recommend going to get a burger here.

I really can't believe some of the reviews, but everyone is entitled to their own opinion. My wife, kid, and I love this place. food is good, not great, but food and drink are cheap. I like cheap outside dining. I do think that having servers would be a big plus, but I don't mind hitting the bar for refills. It just feels like a little piece of Austin to me. All of the employees are super nice, to boot. This is a goto favorite for us when we want something entertaining, cheap, and quick.

Towers Tap House was given every chance to earn my business. I made four visits to this venue with such great potential. Food is slightly better than construction lunch truck with little selection. Food was not prepared to preference or even safety requirements. Replacement coupon given to prompt my next visit brought better food prep but an error on the bill regarding credit amount. This extended my last minutes there. Beer selection doesn't match advertisements or menu and is over priced for tap. Tap beer is not cold. Bar is stocked with canned beer likely provided free to try from beer distributors. Bar top is wet and not safe for elbow lean. We went 45 minutes at the bar without being asked about another round. Service is not available at tables or on patio so patrons have to line up at the bar or entry way. Delayed attention to thirsty or ready to leave customers was suffered and observed. Bathroom was always in need of attention on my visits. We observed some very risky activity by minors that will undoubtedly someday result in tragedy. The venue is very unforgiving to any child both inside and outside. My observation and report to management regarding the rusty angle iron square shelf mounted at eye level between the urinals that was so clear a hazard was met with unconcern on two non-consecutive days. Rumor of a drunken owner stopping a set of a live band and escorting them off property for the crime of playing some country music (being enjoyed by the crowd) is disturbing. A little bit country and a little bit rock and roll, etc., is part of the Texas culture. Some of the employees are service professionals and have some people skills sorely lacking in management or ownership. The glazed eyes of management during my interactions reminded me of exchanges with folks in Colorado. Little Elm citizenry are aching for a good restaurant and bar. This location may guarantee success for first time visits but return business may not happen. This behavior was observed in several former Little Elm businesses over the last decade.

Have been waiting for this place to open for months now. Finally got a chance to go check it out and was so disappointed. The burgers are thin patties that are cooked one way, with all the juice cooked out. My girlfriend ordered the fish tacos. Seriously it looked like kids fish sticks that were shoved into a couple of tortillas. Also ordered the cheese sticks which seem like they pulled straight out of a plastic bag. You can really tell that all this place wants to be is a bar, and food is a distant after thought. Staff was nice enough, but service is very slow. Hopefully that get their act together, because I really think they are sitting on a gold mine if they can figure out the food situation. Hint to manager : Fresh thick burger paddies cooked to order, handmade cheese sticks, real unproccessed fish in fish tacos.

I really felt the need to post a review because of all the horrible reviews of this place. It's a new concept that is growing and I think if you go in with that in mind you will have a good experience. We went yesterday to watch the cowboys game and had a good time. It's very affordable and a cool atmosphere. We were greeted by 2 friendly employees and the service was ok. The burger was ok, the fries were good. Solid 3 stars that I think will only get better with time.

My family just left Towers Tap House, yet again another less than satisfactory visit. While the atmosphere is wonderful, the food is still less than desirable. My husband and I visited about 9 months ago when the place was fairly new, and the food was like cardboard... after receiving a comment back from management that their menu had been revamped with fresh ingredients, we decided to try it again... it's sad to say that nothing has changed! Today, our server was unpleasant. She never introduced herself or even smiled for that matter. She "greeted" us by saying "what can I get you to drink" not even a "good afternoon" or "hi, how are you?" Then, our party ordered the bbq bacon burger, black and blue burger and a BLT. I've never seen a restaurant skimp so much on their food. The BLT had a few crumbles of bacon on it and a few thinly sliced tomatoes with a huge heap of lettuce with soggy buttered bread, the BBQ bacon burger had one piece of bacon broken up on top of it with a few pickles, thin tomato slices and a heap of lettuce... and both burgers were thin frozen burgers (just like before) that tasted like charcoal. Not to mention, our fries were cold and soggy. The only thing this place doesn't skimp on is lettuce! After being told by management that the menu had changed to fresh hand made and seasoned burgers, that's what we expected to be served. The food is definitely not worth wasting your time or money to order. Reminiscing on our very last visit, which was to watch one of our friends sing, this place still isn't up to par. Our friends band was double booked with another band... and apparently this happens quite often. It's just so sad that after months in operation, this establishment has still succeeded in being one of the most poorly managed places I've been to. We will definitely not be returning to eat here, nor would we recommend anything but a few drinks from the bar at Towers Tap House. I'm sure a lot of business will be lost to the Hula Hut once they open. Any place with fresh food on the menu and a cheerful staff is where I'll be headed.

Good atmosphere. Good food. Got the California club and it was great. Big enough go two to split. My husband got the buffalo grilled chicken and he didn't leave any behind. We enjoy watching Hydrous next door. Our server was nice and efficient. We shall return!

Be aware of you sit outside without going in you'll be ignored. But after 15 min we walked in and asked for menus. Then we got a great server! Ask for Meg. If she takes care of you the drinks are good recommendations and are fast out. The food we ordered came out relatively quick and was hot and delicious :). Good job! Entertaining and enjoyable evening with wife and kids after a day boating on Lake Lewisville

Been to this place 3 times now. 1st time was just out of the whim to check it out. The next 2 times was for a friend who was playing live music out there. I really like the concept of the place but each and every time I have went the service has been terrible. Maybe it's because I was out on the patio each time but once it starts to get a little bit of a crowd, you'd better order a full bucket of beers because you'll probably never see the server again. It's a true buzzkill because having a large patio type bar is a growing trend around here and some folks are doing it right while some are doing it wrong. Even Katy Trail Ice House Outpost in Plano has better service. Expect it to be hot on the patio as well as there is not much air circulation out there. I wish they would at least install some fans and possibly some TVs. That way maybe we can watch the longest movie in the world while we wait for our drinks to come.

This is the second time I've been here, but the first time for food. The only reason we stopped here was because we didn't want to drive into Frisco. Can't really complain about to the drink selection, it's a bar, they have the essentials. The food is overpriced for the the quality. We got the queso for an appetizer, which consisted of powered cheese, canned jalapeños and canned chili which created a nice layer of grease on the top. For the main course, we choose burgers, which were so dry and bland, I seriously considered becoming vegetarian. We sat inside and the windows were open, which provided a nice view of the park along with the biggest concentration of smokers that I haven't seen since one of the last episodes of Mad Men. I realize it's outside and people have the right to smoke, but it isn't very pleasant for all the people trying to enjoy the day with their children visiting the wake park. I really hate the fact that this is another bad review and you would really think the owners would take notice as they are missing a lot of business. This is a great concept with a captive audience, hopefully they can make some changes.

The food was decent. The view and atmosphere was awesome. The beers were cold and there was a wide variety. This is not somewhere you come if you're starving and ready to eat. The service is very slow and I wouldn't blame the waitresses and hosts because they were apologetic and hustled. I would say hire some more cooks and chefs guys. This place has a lot of people with kids enjoying but annoyed because their kids were whining from hunger and that just makes the parents miserable and unable to enjoy. All around I will come back when I have 45 minutes to an hour to spare before I actually get food in front of me.

Great Little Elm bar! Wonderful patio with pretty view. Great drink deals & happy hour all day Monday-Thursday. Location greatness makes up for average food level. Spinach dip was SUPER flavorful. Will definitely order again. Chili burger needed more chili. Southwest burger needed more guacamole.

They say it's good to lead with the positive, so I'll start there. The patio is REALLY cool! Really big and wide open and surrounded by the Hydrous water park, which I'm sure makes for some good entertainment when it's open. The bathroom is astonishingly clean. They passed the "bring my kid's food out ASAP" test, and you can get milk with a kid's meal. The fish tacos were not bad, and their fries are above-average bar fries. Now for the bad. We were there for lunch on a Sunday and the place was full of families with kids. Being a family with a kid, that's not the bad part. The bad part was the crazy curse word-ridden thug rap that was playing extremely loud when we first sat down. Honestly, even if I didn't have a toddler with me, I would have found the excessive expletives blaring at 11:30 on a Sunday to be offensive. Luckily it was only one song, but if I had a kid old enough to understand the words I would have been pissed. The service was alright. Our server did fine; however, another server helped her run our food to us and seemed unhappy that I asked for a silverware roll. When my husband asked her for some napkins (mind you, he was never given a silverware roll of his own), she seemed waaaaay put off. Perhaps if silverware rolls were given to customers as a matter of course, we wouldn't have to make such horribly demanding requests? Sheesh. Lastly, quite pricey for what you get. Two fish tacos and fries were $9.99. I could have gotten better fish tacos at Rusty for $2 a piece. And pretty much all of the burgers on the menu are $9.99. Way pricier than, say, Smashburger, and not nearly as good. Bloody mary tasted good but seemed to lack any alcohol. So the patio basically wins the big points here. Otherwise this place gets 2 stars at best.

My husband and I stopped in because this place was close to our house and there was a water view. We figured we'd give it a try. The temperature was comfortable enough for us to eat outdoors. Service was pretty slow even though they weren't all that busy. The salsa was a little oniony tasting, and the queso was so-so. I ordered the chicken alfredo. It was decent, but not very memorable. The place was clean, and the service was friendly but overall the experience was average. Some friends have since told us that they have enjoyed their past visits to the Tap House, so we will give it another try - maybe on a night with live music.

Helen was our waitress. She was very pleasant but maybe a little slow. She has only been there a week. The food was so so. I had the Swiss cheese and mushroom burger. It needed more cheese and mushrooms. Their chips were a little burnt. If I am paying for food, it needs to be better than so so.

Had hi hopes very cool atmosphere a joining the water park then we sat down and it went wrong, 1- the beer list is written on the back of an old paper ticket. 2- the bartender did not know what the beers are just wanted to bring samples. 3- we ordered nachos all I can say is I haven't had nachos this bad since I was at a junior high basketball game. 4- We sit there not eating the junior high nachos for 15 minutes and no one checked on us and when we did send them back, no I'm sorry, can I get you anything else just oh was it the cheese? So to summarize the building is great everything inside awful.

When are restaurant owners/managers going to learn!!! Yet another Adult/family establishment. Sorry but you can't be both....make a choice, either a Taphouse thats adult oriented or a family restaurant, not both. The unruly kids drive out the REAL base of your biz..the adult crowd that not only buys food but also high profit alcohol. Kids keep us away, and you wonder why profits and business is down. Now to the food; poor, cold & about same quality as a McDonalds. Service; poor. Atmosphere; fine if you like a lot of noisy kids running around. All in all, just another restaurant trying to finds its way. Don't count on this one being here long.

This place has everything going for it except menu/food, and spotty service. (Which is bad for a restaurant, right?) I keep trying it out because I WANT to really like it, again, this goes back to all the other factors it has going for it such as wake boarding, outside seating toward the lake, cool building, etc. To be honest Yelpers who come on to rip a place in their fiefdom of review aristocracy bug me, because I know business owners risk so much more than a fickle reviewer ever does who will simply forget the next day. So, I don't drop 2 stars lightly or anything. But seriously guys, service is spotty and food is only tolerated and pretty uncreative. If you've been propped up mainly by wake boarding and the scenery you're definitely going to have to step up your game with Hula Hut opening next door. I want you to succeed, by God read your reviews. Get consistent service right and change your menu/improve your food.
